Batangas is one of the most popular tourist destinations near Metro Manila. The province has many beaches and is famous for excellent diving spots including Anilao in Mabini, Sombrero Island in Tingloy, Ligpo Island in Bauan, these areas more popularly known as Anilao. Batangas also has other industries. Batangas is known for its fan knife, called balisong by the natives. This industry has become so famous that an urban legend exists about every Batangueño carrying a balisong everywhere they go. Bauan, officially the Municipality of Bauan, (TagalogBayan ng Bauan), is a 1st class municipality in the province of BatangasPhilippines.

Bauan is one of three political entities included in Metro Batangas, and as such has contributed to its continuous growth in businesses and population. It is also home to a handful of tourist destinations and points of interest.

There are many restaurants sprawled across the poblacion of Bauan, including Jollibee, McDonald’s, Mang Inasal, and Greenwich. There are also some shopping centers and malls, including Citimart Bauan and Saveway. The town’s market is also one of the biggest in Batangas

The town is home to the famous Londres, a soft bread coated in sugar, and Pianono, a rolled bread with cream inside. Across from the market is Rory’s Refreshment & Eatery, where one of the best lomi in the country can be found.

While Bauan is known as “the Gateway to Mabini,” an adjacent town known for its beaches, Bauan has Sampaguita beach. It is a long, white-sand beach that is relatively underdeveloped but fairly accessible. It is slowly becoming popular and is already being flocked by tourists. There is also a river in Bauan called the Abaksa River that can be found in between Inicbulan and Balayong. It is a fairly shallow river with cool waters and is also relatively underdeveloped.

The Immaculate Conception Parish (Bauan) is a Neo-classical church located Bauan, Batangas in the Philippines. The church is the third and final relocation site of Bauan after its transfer from the shores of Bombon Lake (Taal Lake), to Durugto, to Lonal, and finally to its present site near the shores of Batangas Bay. The church is also one of the parishes administered by Fr. Manuel Blanco, who perfected the art of dyeing by means of plants in Bauan.

Near the Immaculate Conception Church, It’s the popular Hotel in Bauan and it offers 3 star Hotel for tourist to stay in for a night or day. This also where annual event happen like Nancy Binay’s visits Bauan.

Sampaguita Beach

This Beach is located in Anilao – Orense Rd, Bauan, Batangas. It’s popular to Bauan, Batangas due to it’s white sand and clear sea. Many tourist from different part of the world already visited in this beautiful beach.
